Morgan State University’s nursing leadership team has been selected for the inaugural Academic Nursing Innovation Fellows program, a national initiative focused on transforming nursing education and strengthening the future health-care workforce. Morgan State also remains historically significant to Greek life as the birthplace of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated.

Morgan State occupies a distinctive place in Black Greek-letter history as the birthplace of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Its Alpha Chapter remains a recognized Morgan student group. The university also operates an NPHC section and a Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life, while requiring active student organizations to complete at least 50 hours of community service during the academic year. That framework places Iota Phi Theta and Morgan’s other recognized organizations within the university’s broader traditions of service, leadership and campus programming.
